Hawaii Production Tax Credit
The beautiful Hawaiian islands offer a vast and unique set of locations in one State not found anywhere else in the world. Each island in the chain offers a different creative flavor in terms of the culture, feel, energy and of course the incredible backdrops of white sandy beaches to tall mountain ranges. Volcanic eruptions from Pu'u O'o vent to the snow-capped mountains of Mauna Kea.
The islands are also host to highly experienced talent and crews from the Local 996, Local 665, Local 1260, Local 677 and the Screen Actors Guild.
Hawaii Camera can help you navigate the intricacies of securing the Hawaii Production Tax Credit, which is an incentive in the form of a refundable tax credit based on the Production companies' expenditures in the State of Hawaii. The credit is 20% on the island of O'ahu and increases to 25% for production expenses on the neighbor islands.
