Pro tip: Edges of the frame lose some resolution at 16mm while at f/2.8 but the lens does sharpen up decently past f/5.6. Canon has also released a new Canon 16-35mm f/4L IS lens with Image stabilization that is much sharper. We'd suggest that lens instead if you do not need f/2.8.
