Canon longest lens in its lineup, and most expensive, notwithstanding the ultra-rare $120,000 Canon 1200mm f/8 lens.
Weighing in at a hair under 10 pounds this lens is lighter than the 600mm f/4 and 400mm f2.8 but heavier than the 500mm f/4.
Insanely sharp, more so than a 400mm f2.8 with 2x Extender and 600mm f4 with a 1.4x Extender. If you need the best image quality at this focal length the 800mm f5.6 is the way to go.
Compatible with Canon CP-L drop in Circular polarizer.
We recommend the use of a Gitzo tripod
- Hard case
- soft lens cap
- lens hood
- rear drop in UV filter and wide strap.
